Fleas

Imagine spending the afternoon playing catch with your dogs outside, and once your dogs are back inside, they scratch their neck and bite their legs. That is the first sign of a possible flea problem.

Fleas are pests no pet owner wants to deal with and should immediately be treated to avoid spreading. They are attracted to body heat and feed on the blood of mammals. They typically carry into someone's home or yard on other animals, whether pets, rats, mice, or even squirrels.

Ticks

Ticks are blood feeders similar to ticks; however, they commonly infest the yards of homes and rarely spread indoors. Ticks seek moisture, cool resting areas or shelter spots, and blood meals. If your home provides a water feature, tall grass, and other animals or pests, it may be the perfect home for ticks.

They can't fly or jump but will wait for a host to come by and latch on to areas you won't notice. If you fear a possible flea or tick infestation, please call National Pest Control for a free inspection!
